Commercial Manager – PFI / Infrastructure Projects
£75K - £85K, plus bonus and corporate benefits (salary negotiable, dependent upon experience)
North West England, home based with occasional travel
Overview
A leading infrastructure and asset management business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support a portfolio of PFI/PPP projects across the UK.
This is a varied role supporting complex commercial, operational, and contractual matters within established project environments. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, project stakeholders, and senior management to provide commercial support across a range of live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial activities across PFI/PPP projects including variations, benchmarking, market testing, and dispute management.
- Support with PFI handback
- Support operational teams with contract interpretation and commercial guidance.
- Review and manage commercial risks and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with legal advisors and external stakeholders where required.
- Attend SPV and project board meetings.
- Maintain commercial issue logs and reporting documentation.
- Support tender analysis and project-related commercial reviews.
- Assist with project governance, reporting structures, and programme coordination.
About You
- Experience within PFI/PPP, infrastructure, construction, or facilities management environments.
- Experience of PFI handback
- Strong understanding of contractual frameworks and commercial management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to manage complex issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Strong report writing and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
