Job Purpose You will manage the day-to-day management of valuations across the Value-Add strategy, alongside maintaining fund models to evaluate historical and projected asset performance, consider key sensitivities, and support liquidity management. You will also maintain the Value-Add track record and support fundraising by responding to investor queries in collaboration with the Capital Formation team. As part of the Value-Add Portfolio Management team, you will be working closely with portfolio managers, finance, capital formation, and investment teams. Portfolio Management is responsible for financial oversight, performance monitoring, technical advisory, and supporting the execution of Value-Add initiatives and transactions. You will work across InfraRed’s unlisted infrastructure Value-Add funds, and co-investments.

This is a role that will grow with the capabilities of the individual and work across various business areas and stakeholders from across the business to help drive performance of the funds.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the valuation process for the Value-Add funds, coordinating with Investment Teams and Asset Managers to ensure robust valuations, with key inputs and assumptions aligned to business plans and observable market data.
  • Manage and deliver fund-level valuation reports to Investment and Valuation Committees, analysing period-on-period movements, investigating variances, and presenting outputs in collaboration with Portfolio Directors and Fund Managers.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to incorporate valuations into financial reporting, maintain and enhance fund models, and track historic and forecast performance at both fund and strategy level.
  • Support the audit process and investor engagement by addressing valuation-related queries from auditors and investors.
  • Prepare and coordinate analysis for LP Advisory Committees and investor meetings, ensuring forecasts are robust and aligned with validated inputs from Analysts and Associates.
  • Produce analysis for fundraising, investor reporting, and internal reporting requirements.
  • Prepare investor and internal presentations as required.
  • Support the delivery of Value-Add initiatives across the portfolio.

In addition, the role includes broader support to the Value-Add Portfolio and Fund Management teams, including:

  • Leading or supporting the implementation of Value-Add initiatives at asset, fund and platform level such as KPI tracking, asset level reporting and business plan analysis.
  • Delivering targeted workstreams to support asset management across platform investments.
  • Providing general support and insight to Portfolio Management and Fund Management activities.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements across the function and wider business.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven infrastructure experience with a developer, adviser, industrial sponsor, infrastructure fund, project finance advisory and/or lending institution is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and working with detailed Excel project and fund models.
  • Analytically rigorous and detail-oriented, particularly with regards to numerical analysis, legal documentation and written reports.
  • Ability to manage involvement in a number of simultaneous initiatives, deliver work to agreed deadlines and work well with a variety of individuals across a complex and evolving business.
  • Good communication in written/verbal English with the ability to challenge and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Able to synthesise complex matters effectively and concisely.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving-oriented and keen to use personal initiative to drive improvements.
