About the Internship Are you looking to build a career in infrastructure investing and gain exposure to live transactions at a leading global infrastructure investment manager? InfraRed Capital Partners is seeking highly motivated students to join our 9-week Summer Analyst Internship Programme in London. This programme offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals across our Investments, Portfolio Management, Capital Formation, Sustainability and Research teams, contributing to real projects and transactions from day one. As a Summer Analyst, you will be integrated into the team and gain first-hand exposure to the investment lifecycle, including opportunity evaluation, financial analysis, due diligence, execution and portfolio management. You will work on live investments across the infrastructure, renewable energy, digital infrastructure and energy transition sectors, developing both your technical and commercial skillset. This is a demanding and rewarding opportunity for candidates with a strong analytical foundation who are looking to accelerate their career into infrastructure investing. Applications will close on or before 30th September depending on interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the evaluation and execution of infrastructure and energy investments across Europe.
- Build and review financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), project finance and valuation models.
- Undertake financial analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support investment decision-making.
- Assist with due diligence workstreams, including the review of financial, commercial and operational information.
- Prepare investment committee materials, research papers and investment presentations.
- Conduct sector, market and competitor analysis to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends.
- Support Portfolio Management activities, including valuations, performance analysis and fund reporting.
- Assist the Capital Formation team with investor reporting, fundraising materials and market research.
- Contribute to sustainability and research initiatives, including ESG reporting, market analysis and thematic research.
- Gain exposure to asset management activities through interactions with portfolio companies and site visits to operating assets.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking intellectually curious and commercially minded candidates with a strong interest in infrastructure and private markets. You should:
- Be studying towards, or have recently completed, an undergraduate degree or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting or a related discipline. Anticipated graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Be on track for, or have achieved, a strong academic record (2:1 or equivalent minimum).
- Have a demonstrated interest in infrastructure investing, private equity, renewable energy, energy transition or broader private markets.
- Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Have at least one previous internship experience within infrastructure funds, private equity, investment banking, project finance, transaction services, corporate finance or a related field.
- Have experience building and working with financial models and analysing company financial statements.
- Be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required. Additional European language skills, particularly German, French or Spanish, would be advantageous.

Upon successful completion of your summer internship, outstanding candidates may receive a full time return offer as an Analyst, with a latest start date of September 2028. We aim to provide graduates and early careers Analysts with the skills and experience required to grow into a successful Investment Professional with InfraRed.
Assessment Process
The recruitment process runs from mid-September to mid-November and consists of four stages:
- Stage 1: Online Numerical Assessment - Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a timed Talogy numerical reasoning assessment (20 questions in 25 minutes) designed to evaluate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Stage 2: Talent Acquisition Interview - Successful candidates will be invited to a 30-minute virtual interview to discuss your background, experience and motivation for pursuing a career in infrastructure investing.
- Stage 3: Technical Interview - A 40-minute virtual interview with investment professionals, focused on financial analysis, valuation and modelling concepts, commercial awareness and your interest in infrastructure.
- Stage 4: Assessment Day - A final 3 hour in-person assessment at our London office, including technical and competency-based interviews, alongside a group case study exercise.
