Overview:

A leading and fast-growing electric vehicle charging network is seeking an experienced interim manager to take full ownership of its portfolio of ultra-rapid EV charging hubs across the UK. This is a field-based role, focused on improving site performance, increasing customer usage, and driving local commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance and presentation of each EV charging site, ensuring high standards of reliability, cleanliness, visibility, and access.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Customer, Marketing, Network) to support uptime, on-site CX, and brand consistency.
  • Build and manage relationships with tenants, landowners, local businesses, and service providers to support usage growth and community engagement.
  • Identify and implement physical and digital strategies to increase awareness and demand at each site.
  • Support the development of clear, actionable plans for each site and activate these within the contract period.
  • Monitor and analyse site profitability and utilisation data in collaboration with finance and network teams, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop scalable strategies by site type to increase efficiency and replicate success across the portfolio.
  • Actively support internal teams in delivering on-site activations and performance campaigns.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations, ideally in EV, roadside retail, convenience, hospitality, or automotive.
  • Commercially minded with a focus on profitability, data-led decisions, and hands-on site execution.
  • Strong relationship management skills, confident dealing with a range of stakeholders from suppliers to landowners.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Comfortable with travel across the UK, with the flexibility to be in the Manchester office when not in the field.
