Responsibilities
- Daily and weekly accounting tasks, including bank entries and reconciliation.
- Maintain files and documentation in accordance with accepted accounting practices.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and GST/Sales tax returns for IV Americas entities.
- Maintain AmEx account tie‑outs for Americas entities and support the A/P accountant in obtaining invoices promptly.
- Support the Americas A/P accountant as needed.
- Monthly reporting: payroll entries, quarterly and annual reconciliations.
- Processing and reconciliation of some accrual accounts.
- Prepare monthly entries for prepaid accounts and related reconciliations.
- Employees: prepare monthly accrued vacation entries and Monthly Bonus Plan (MBO) journals with reconciliations.
- Generate various monthly reporting files for internal IV use after close.
- Allocate entries – split costs across accounts (Financial Force).
- Roll over monthly reconciliations in Teams/SharePoint for month‑end preparation.
- Update the Monthly Closing Checklist.
- Year‑end tasks: prepare year‑end files and reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure internal controls and documents are in place.
- Assist external tax preparers with files required for tax filings of Americas entities (quarterly and year‑end).
- Fixed‑asset depreciation calculation.
- Prepare worldwide (WW) reports covering A/P, restructuring, and subcontractors.
Key Skills, Competencies and Experience Required
- At least 3 years of accounts payable experience.
- Diploma or degree in accounting (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, and reliability.
- Excellent organization, time‑management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact with employees, vendors and external auditors professionally.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable systems, procedures, and the chart of accounts.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Financial Force is an advantage.
- English language required (French is optional).
