Overview Role – Business Development Executive (BDE).

Location – London, United Kingdom.

Practice Unit – Client Services – UK.

This position is open to 2026 MBA graduates only. Infosys cannot offer sponsorship for these positions. We can consider candidates with UK citizenship or ILR.

Your Responsibilities

  • Business Development – Hunting: The BDE conducts competitive analysis to develop a unified market view, collaborates with the UPAM team for sector-specific insights, identifies prospects, and initiates communication with C-level executives to introduce Infosys solutions. Through consultative selling, they address gaps in client infrastructure and drive cross-selling and new product opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure the client or prospect involves Infosys in their RFP process. Upon receiving the RFP, the BDE acts as a single point of contact for the customer on behalf of Infosys and internally; aligns all technical and supporting function stakeholders to drive the deal to completion within timelines.
  • Proposal Development & Pricing (Consultative Selling): Create proposals and Statements of Work (SoWs), coordinating with multiple Infosys delivery units, procurement, and legal. Perform quantitative analysis to propose a win-price, including HBU split and relevant competitor analysis to demonstrate business value and maintain price premium.
  • Proposal Negotiation & Closure: Develop a "customer map" of named customers with potential objections and recommend actions; provide analyses needed during negotiation to articulate business value and win the deal at the right price premium.
  • Contracting and Master Service Agreement: Provide a business-led view on contract negotiation items (e.g., clauses that may be difficult to implement, competitor benchmarks). The BDE has authority to make decisions on the deal, including discounts.
  • Account Management & Growth – Farming Account Planning and Mining: Map growth opportunities within the account, leverage existing relationships to secure meetings, and forge relationships with new C/C-1 level stakeholders; mine the account via new deals.
  • Customer Stakeholder Management: Be the single point of contact for customer escalations and grievances. Maintain regular contact with customer stakeholders to address pain points and present Infosys’ value propositions. Participate in executive reviews, ensure strategic positioning in presentations, and identify key CSAT and ELF stakeholders to minimize revenue leakage and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Account Operations: Oversee revenue receipt and recognition from services delivered to the client; align with client stakeholders and review account operations periodically to ensure smooth operations; liaise with service delivery units to ensure the right personnel are staffed throughout the engagement for smooth delivery.

Required Skills

  • Soft skills: Ability to learn quickly regarding the client’s business processes, Infosys' processes, and service lines. Excellent analytical and presentation skills. The ability to display initiative and work in an unstructured environment is a must. Comfortable and excited to be in a customer-facing role.
  • Hard Skills: Understand basics of financial drivers for an IT organization. Drafting business cases for client pitches. Global understanding of the economy to make sound negotiations. No necessity of a background in this business or IT field.

Preparation for the Interview

The candidate should expect thorough questioning regarding the submitted CV, hypothetical situations and solutions, understanding of IT basics, and the financials of the business. Understanding Infosys service lines is a bonus but not required. Come with an open mind and be prepared for case-like scenarios.
