Technology Lead - Liferay

Overview

Technology Lead role at Infosys focusing on Liferay, Java, Spring, REST API. Interface with stakeholders across the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements elicitation, architecture definition, design, and technical feasibility. Lead architecture and high-level design artifacts, guide the team, and coordinate with offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications with high quality into a delivery pipeline to ensure secure, reliable, performant operations of Liferay DXP / Portal and REST APIs.
• Subject matter expert in application code development, guiding others to maintain programming best practices.
• Liferay Portal Administration including creating Organization, Sites, User Groups, Roles.
• Configurable portal experience per user, per organization.
• Configure 400+ Organizations / sites, import users across sites, staff transfer across organizations.
• Experience using API gateway for backend data / services integration to Liferay portal.
• Routing and Load balancing knowledge to understand the full technical architecture.
• Elastic search configuration, indexing, implementing schedulers, etc.
• Strong Liferay content management system experience for authenticated / unauthenticated users.
• Web content management and content audience targeting from the portal.
• Client communication and onshore-offshore coordination.
• Understand requirements from business and provide clarifications to the team.
• Maintain high level of knowledge, skill and competencies in web development.
• Translate design requirements and specifications into successful implementations.
• Ensure the project meets high standards for quality and adheres to industry best practices.
• Own tasks independently or with minimal supervision.

Required

• 3 years of Liferay DXP 7.3 or later product experience in developing applications.
• 3 years of Kaleo Workflow experience.
• 5 years of strong Java skills.
• 5 years of RESTful Web Services.
• 5 years of JDBC and basic Hibernate.
• 5 years of Spring concepts and annotations.
• 5 years of HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/JQuery.

Preferred

• 8+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in agile-driven SDLC.
• Bachelor\’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven self-directed, results-oriented with ability to achieve aggressive goals despite ambiguity and multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and business-facing.
