Overview
Infosys is a global leader in digital services and consulting. This role involves working as a Technology Architect with a focus on IBM DataPower Gateway design, implementation, and security for API and integration solutions. The role interfaces with architects, developers, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure robust gateway configurations and enterprise standards compliance.
Role
In the role of Technology Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Architecture definition, and Design. You will contribute to architecture and high-level design artifacts, assess technical feasibility, and identify efficient ways to meet client requirements. You will guide the team technically and coordinate with offshore teams, acting as a communication bridge between the client and offshore. You will be part of a learning culture where teamwork, collaboration, excellence, and diversity are valued.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage IBM DataPower appliances for API Gateway, XML Firewall, and related functions.
- Develop and deploy policies for authentication, authorization, encryption, and traffic control.
- Implement SSL/TLS configurations, certificates, and secure communication channels.
- Integrate DataPower with API Connect, IBM MQ, and backend services.
- Support REST, SOAP, and other protocols for secure data exchange.
- Monitor and optimize gateway performance, throughput, and latency.
- Apply security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and LDAP integration.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to DataPower configurations and deployments; provide Level 2/3 support for production environments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and operational procedures; ensure compliance with security standards.
Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway (XI52, IDG, or virtual editions).
- Strong understanding of networking, SSL/TLS, and cryptographic concepts.
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and scripting (CLI, SOMA, REST APIs).
- Familiarity with API Connect, IBM MQ, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, LDAP, and SAML.
- Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments) is preferred.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for DataPower.
- Willingness to travel to Leeds or Warwick.
