Role summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior ADMS-OMS & OT Integration Consultant who can bridge utility operations, support ADMS upgrade, OMS transition and OT integration workstreams. The role needs hands-on understanding of GE PowerOn, utility OT operations, SCADA/OMS flows, integration patterns and control room readiness. The consultant should be able to work with architecture, cyber, infrastructure, GE and subcontractor teams to convert discovery into practical delivery actions
The candidate should be comfortable operating in a complex multi-vendor environment, asking the right questions, identifying risks early and helping to move from discovery to execution.
Key Responsibilities
PowerOn ADMS / OMS
β’ Support ADMS upgrade validation, environment readiness and functional impact assessment.
β’ Assess OMS migration impacts from SIMS to PowerOn OMS, including outage, incident, call, crew and restoration workflows.
β’ Identify standard PowerOn capability versus specific customization or configuration needs.
β’ Support PowerOn Mobile and regulatory reporting configuration assessment.
OT Architecture and Infrastructure
β’ Work with cyber, infrastructure and architecture teams on OT/HOTi placement, L2/L3 network impacts and virtualization dependencies.
β’ Support sizing inputs and application dependency mapping for ADMS environments.
β’ Clarify operational ownership gaps around RTU commissioning, OT networking and application support.
Integration and Data Flow
β’ Define integration needs across Workforce, Customer Comms, SMS, Web Outage Maps, Regulatory Reporting and analytics platforms.
β’ Review SOAP, DB links, API gateway, Kafka and event-driven integration options for resilience during storm-event bursts.
β’ Support DERMS-to-ADMS interface discovery where included in scope.
Testing and Operational Readiness
β’ Build functional test scenarios for outage lifecycle, switching, SCADA events, call handling, crew dispatch and restoration.
β’ Support SIT, UAT, regression and operational cutover readiness.
β’ Convert workshops into crisp requirements, risks, actions and acceptance criteria.
Required Experience
β’ Strong experience in utilities, ADMS, OMS, SCADA or OT application delivery.
β’ Hands-on exposure to GE PowerOn Advantage ADMS; PowerOn OMS experience strongly preferred.
β’ Strong understanding of outage management, switching, restoration, network operations and control room workflows.
β’ Experience in OT environments, security zones, operational availability and production support constraints.
β’ Ability to interpret architecture, interface, environment and infrastructure dependencies.
β’ Good SQL/data understanding for reporting, reconciliation and operational investigation.
β’ Strong workshop facilitation, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
β’ ADMS upgrade or version migration experience, preferably GE PowerOn Advantage (ADMS S6).
β’ SOAP/XML integration, Oracle, DB links, Kafka, API gateway or durable messaging patterns.
β’ PowerOn Mobile, DERMS integration, AMI, GIS, Workforce Management or customer communications integration.
β’ UK DNO/DSO operations, outage reporting or regulatory reporting exposure.
β’ Hyper-V, Red Hat server environments and IT/OT infrastructure refresh projects.
β’ Power BI, Business Objects, Databricks or operational reporting modernization exposure.
