The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing enterprise IT infrastructure across Compute (AIX/Linux, Windows/VMware), Storage, and Network domains, with a strong focus on capacity planning, performance engineering, and operational resilience. The role will support large-scale enterprise environments and ensure high availability, scalability, and performance optimization across all infrastructure layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimal sizing, and continuous monitoring of compute, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Capacity planning and forecasting for compute, storage and network resources.
  • Performance analysis, tuning, and bottleneck mitigation across AIX/Linux/Windows and VMware environments.
  • VMware infrastructure lifecycle management – ESXi, vCenter, clusters.
  • Storage & backup architecture – design SAN/NAS, optimize IOPS, throughput, latency and lead backup/recovery strategies.
  • Network architecture – LAN/WAN, DC networking, routing/switching to support scalability and HA.
  • Implement and enhance monitoring solutions, alerts and automation for provisioning, capacity reporting and performance tuning.
  • ITIL process support – Incident, Problem and Change management and root-cause analysis for recurring performance issues.
  • Design and validate DR/HA solutions, conduct periodic DR drills.

    • Compute – IBM AIX (LPAR, Power systems, PowerVC), Linux (RHEL), Windows Server & AD
    • Virtualization – VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS)
    • Storage & Backup – SAN/NAS, replication, backup solutions
    • Networking – LAN/WAN, routing/switching, DC networking
    • Monitoring & Tools – infrastructure monitoring, alerting and performance tools
  • Experience
    • 10–15+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture/engineering in large enterprise environments (multi-DC, hybrid infra). Proven experience in stakeholder management across storage, network and application teams and strong problem-solving skills.
