Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Guidewire Technical Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of Guidewire-based insurance transformation programs.

The role is responsible for defining end-to-end solution architecture across Guidewire XCenters, ensuring scalability, performance, integration alignment, and adherence to best practices.

The role requires client co‑ordination and deep functional or insurance (P&C) industry expertise.

The ideal candidate combines deep Guidewire product knowledge, strong technical architecture skills, and P&C domain expertise; with aptitude to work in Implementation, Transformation and AMS programs with a strong niche skill of Guidewire (Policy, Billing & Claim Center and Guidewire Insurance Suite) including on‑prem and Saa S version.

  • Solution Architecture & Design
  • Define end‑to‑end architecture for Guidewire implementations (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center)
  • Design scalable, modular, and high‑performance solutions
  • Create Solution Architecture Documents (SAD), High‑Level Design (HLD) & Low‑Level Design (LLD)
  • Integration and data architecture
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
  • Guidewire XCenters Expertise
  • Provide architecture guidance across Policy Center – product model, rating, underwriting rules
  • Billing Center – billing plans, invoicing, payments, collections
  • Claim Center – claims lifecycle, financials, recovery
  • Ensure optimal use of Out‑of‑the‑Box (OOTB) capabilities
  • Minimize customization and promote configuration‑driven design
  • Integration Architecture
  • Design integrations with external systems (CRM, ERP, payment gateways, document management)
  • Data platforms, digital front ends, and third‑party services
  • Define API‑first architecture, messaging/event‑driven integrations, batch vs real‑time processing strategies
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable integration patterns
  • Data & Technology Architecture
  • Define data models, data flows, and governance standards
  • Guide data migration and conversion strategies
  • Ensure performance tuning, caching, and scalability
  • Oversee cloud/on‑prem deployment architecture (AWS/Azure)

  • Provide technical oversight to development, configuration, and integration teams

  • Hands‑on experience with Guidewire x Centers (version 10. x & cloud/Saa S) configuration including workflows, data model, rules, entity creation/modification, benefit management, PCFs customization, validations, widgets and their attributes, integration mechanisms, Guidewire Data Model
  • Customization & Integration
  • Sound knowledge of Guidewire x Centers (version 10. x & Saa S) customization and integration (intra and inter system integration) using REST and SOAP APIs
  • Technical Skills
  • Experience with batch processes, Guidewire Messaging framework, and OOTB plugins
  • Familiarity with infra concepts and deployment architecture (WMB, WAS, and Apache)
  • Strong knowledge on software architecture and design in Guidewire Ecosystem

  • Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis
  • GW Cloud/Saa S Offerings
  • Working knowledge on GW Cloud/Saa S offerings including GT Framework, Integration Gateway, Advance Product Designer (APD), Autopilot, Underwriting Workbench and few others

  • Experience with defect triaging, estimation, stakeholder management, and application enhancements
