About your role
As a Cargo wise consultant, you will perform the following tasks.
Consulting and business transformation
- Lead business process assessments, operating model design, and digital transformation initiatives across logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define future-state processes.
- Translate business requirements into Cargo Wise functional and solution designs.
- Advise clients on industry best practices for freight forwarding, customs brokerage, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Support process harmonization, standardization, and global template rollouts.
Cargo Wise Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end Cargo Wise implementation programs, upgrades, rollouts, and process optimization initiatives.
- Configure and support Cargo Wise modules, including Forwarding (Ocean, Air, and Road), Customs, Warehouse, Transport, Finance, Rates and Tariffs, Tracking and Visibility, e Commerce, and Customer Portal capabilities.
- Define solution architectures and integration requirements with enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design integrations, data migration, and reporting solutions.
Program Delivery
- Manage project scope, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Oversee functional design documents, user stories, test scenarios, and deployment plans.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare activities.
- Drive issue resolution across business and technology workstreams.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Provide strategic recommendations and executive-level updates.
- Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and decision-making forums.
- Support RFPs, proposals, solution estimations, and client presentations.
- Contribute to consulting assets, accelerators, and industry thought leadership.
- Mentor junior consultants and lead capability development initiatives.
- Assist in growing the Cargo Wise consulting practice and developing market offerings.
Requirements
You..
- Have a broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience
- Have experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audiences
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in country’s official language(s) (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency), project-related mobility/willingness to travel
- Have at least 12 to 15 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation consulting.
- Have atleast 3 to 5 years of Cargo Wise implementation and consulting experience.
- Have experience across at least one or more domains: Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Contract Logistics, Transportation Management, Warehouse Operations
- Have experience in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Have experience managing global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
- Have good technical understanding of Cargo Wise One platform, Cargo Wise configuration and administration, EDI and API integrations, Data migration and master data management, Reporting and analytics, Process modelling tools, Jira, Azure Dev Ops and Confluence
- Have good understanding of cloud, integration, and enterprise architecture concepts
Qualifications
- Cargo Wise Certification(s)
- Experience with global logistics providers, freight forwarders, or 3PL/4PL organizations.
- Experience with systems such as SAP, Blue Yonder, Oracle, Manhattan, Descartes, project44, GT Nexus, or other logistics platforms.
- Knowledge of customs and international trade compliance processes.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
