Role – Senior Consultant Technology – Liferay, Java, Spring, REST API Location – Leeds
Your role
In the role of Senior consultant, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design.
You will play an important role in creating the Architecture and high level design artifacts.
You will also do technical feasibility and identify smart ways of completing client’s requirement.
You will guide the team technically and work closely with offshore team acting as a communication medium between the client and offshore.

Responsibilities
- Develop application with high quality into a delivery pipeline to ensure secure, reliable, performant operations of Liferay DXP / Portal and REST APIs.
- Subject matter expert in application code development, helping and guiding others to maintain programming best practices required.
- Liferay Portal Administration that includes creating Organization, Sites, User Groups, Roles.
- Configurable portal experience per user, per organization is required.
- Configuring 400+ Organizations / sites, importing users across each sites, staff transfer across organizations.
- Experience in using API gateway for backend data / services integration to Liferay portal.
- Routing and Load balancing knowledge is a must to understand complete technical architecture.
- Elastic search configuration, indexing, implementing schedulers etc is required.
- Strong Liferay content management system experience for authenticated / unauthenticated users is a must.
- Web content management, content audience targeting from the portal is required.
- Client communication and onshore-offshore coordination
- Responsible for understanding requirements from business, providing clarifications to team.
- Responsible for Analysis, design, development, unit test activities.
- Maintain high level of knowledge, skill and competencies in web development.
- Translate design requirements and specifications into successful implementations.
- Ensure the project meets high standards for quality and adheres to industry best practices.
- Agile development experience preferred.
- Completely own the tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
- 3 years of Liferay DXP 7.3 or later product experience in developing applications.
- 3 years of Kaleo Workflow experience
- 5 years of strong Java skills
- 5 years of Restful Web Services
- 5 years of JDBC and basic hibernate
- 5 years of Spring concepts and annotations
- 5 years of HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/JQuery
- Oracle Database including SP/Functions/Triggers/Cursors
- Kaleo workflow, Entra / Azure AD/LDAP/SAML integration
- Preferred
- 8+ year’s experience in Information Technology.
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in agile-driven SDLC.
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of being self-directed, results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals despite ambiguity and multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and business-facing.
