Role: Delivery Specialist-Data Technology

Domain: Energy & Utilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Account Leadership

  • Serve as the single point of delivery ownership for strategic Energy & Utilities clients, ensuring seamless execution across service lines and geographies.
  • Co-develop and execute joint business plans with Client Partners and Market Units to drive account growth, profitability, and transformation.
  • Partner with Industry Heads to identify and develop sector-specific opportunities including decarbonization, grid modernization, digital field services, and asset optimization.

2. P&L Management and Governance

  • Jointly own the account P&L and deliver revenue and margin targets through proactive cost, quality, and risk management.
  • Drive account-level planning including revenue forecasting, workforce planning, competency roadmaps, and digital transformation strategy.
  • Monitor delivery KPIs, resourcing, and compliance with Infosys quality and governance standards.

3. Transformation and Innovation

  • Champion innovation and transformation within client delivery—leveraging Infosys’ digital frameworks (Insight, Innovate, Accelerate, Assure, Experience) to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Embed automation, AI/ML, and platform-based solutions to improve productivity and client value.
  • Identify opportunities to deploy industry accelerators and reusable solutions to improve time-to-market and competitiveness.

4. Strategic Program Execution

  • Anchor large, complex, and strategic delivery programs, ensuring they meet defined business and technology goals.
  • Lead and oversee high-impact digital and cloud modernization initiatives across the Energy & Utilities value chain.
  • Drive portfolio-level governance, change management, and program assurance across delivery units.

5. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders, building trusted partnerships and driving executive-level engagement.
  • Lead customer success programs, regularly monitor CSAT/ESAT, and proactively manage delivery issues and escalations.
  • Shape and guide client transformation agendas through insightful thought leadership and domain-led storytelling.

6. People & Capability Development

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional delivery teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive reskilling and upskilling aligned to client needs, with an emphasis on digital competencies, agile delivery, and E&U domain depth.
  • Mentor and coach senior delivery managers, creating a leadership pipeline within the account.

7. Industry & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Establish and nurture strategic alliances with partners to deliver integrated, value-driven offerings for the E&U sector.
  • Participate in external forums, industry panels, and working groups to enhance Infosys’ visibility and influence in the Energy & Utilities domain.
  • Contribute to solution roadmaps, domain IP development, and sector-specific value propositions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in IT/consulting with at least 5+ years of leadership experience managing delivery in the Energy & Utilities sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex transformation engagements (e.g., Smart Grid, DERMS, Asset Lifecycle, Customer Experience).
  • Strong knowledge of utility operations, industry platforms (SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, AVEVA, GE), and regulatory dynamics.
  • Proven track record of driving P&L, delivery governance, and stakeholder engagement in large global accounts.
  • Expertise in project/program management, digital transformation, and agile delivery methods.
  • Expertise in E2E data value chain in data and analytics, should have managed multiple complex engagements in data and analytics domain.
  • Experience in solving business problem in any of the industry, understanding of E2E functional flows of the customer business.
  • Able to understand the architecture on any Hyper-scaler (Azure and GCP) and identify potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Knowledge of cutting edge data platforms such as Databricks & Snowflake
  • Able to Create Business Plan for expanding business – Potential Business Opportunities/Competition Strengths, Weaknesses, Continuous improvement, Innovation, and growth Mindset
