We are seeking a highly skilled Storage & Unix Administrator with strong hands-on expertise to manage, support, and enhance enterprise infrastructure. The role requires deep technical proficiency in system administration, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and production support, along with availability for off-hours and weekend support in a 24x7 environment (On call support).
Your role as a Principal Consultant involves contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will define the problem, propose and refine the solution, and play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables, contribute to proposal development, client training, and internal capability-building, and help detail the project scope.

Required
- At least 10+ years of experience as System Administration & Operations Support on Storage and Unix platforms.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision with direct responsibilities.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to changes in project scope.
1. System Administration & Operations
- Administer and manage Storage/Unix servers with a strong focus on regular operation work.
- Perform routine system health checks, capacity monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security configurations.
2. Patching & Upgrades
- Plan and execute OS patching, kernel updates, and security remediation activities.
- Perform SUSE Linux upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise patching and vulnerability management standards.
3. Troubleshooting & Incident Management
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for critical production environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to OS, performance degradation, services, and infrastructure.
- Analyze system logs, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
4. Automation & Optimization
- Develop and maintain scripts (Shell/Python) using Ansible automation platform of operational tasks.
- Improve system reliability and efficiency through proactive monitoring and tuning.
5. Monitoring & Compliance
- Work with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace or equivalent).
- Ensure systems adhere to security, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Track and resolve vulnerabilities within SLA timelines.
6. On-Call & Support Coverage
- Provide on-call support during weekends, off-business hours, for major critical incidents.
