Overview
In this role, you will lead hands-on QA device testing for Android and iOS across various OEM devices, driving validation, test execution, and issue analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable builds and reliable device performance, including log collection and defect reporting. This position supports telecom/network testing as an optional capability and contributes to robust mobile validation within a global digital services organization. You will work in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem solving and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Test Android and iOS devices across OEMs and validate app behavior and performance
- Configure devices, flash firmware, install builds and test packages
- Execute test cases, document results, and report defects clearly
- Collect logs and troubleshoot device/network issues to support root-cause analysis
- Identify issues related to UI responsiveness, crashes, battery, thermal performance, and device stability
- Create actionable defect reports for engineering teams
- Support test automation efforts as an added capability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of builds and test coverage
Key requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Android and iOS device testing
- Experience with device setup, firmware flashing, custom ROMs, test builds, and APK installation
- Ability to collect logs and report defects effectively
- Troubleshooting device/network issues and validating issues per test results
- Knowledge of APN configuration, band locking, NV changes, network troubleshooting and log analysis (nice to have)
- Experience with network performance, signal, and connectivity testing (nice to have)
