Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and workforce management principles. Should have hands-on experience in UKG Pro implementation projects in configuring Timekeeping, Attendance & Accruals, Scheduling, Advanced Scheduling.

Your role:

As a Principal Consultant, you will provide strategic and delivery leadership for UKG Pro workforce management implementations, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. You will lead complex, multi-module implementations covering Timekeeping, Attendance & Accruals, Scheduling, and Advanced Scheduling, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business and organizational goals. You will be responsible for driving solution architecture, defining best practices, and designing complex workflows, rules, policies, and integrations with other HR and payroll systems. In this role, you will translate business requirements into optimized UKG Pro configurations, troubleshoot high-impact issues, and guide teams through successful delivery. Additionally, you will mentor senior consultants, review technical designs and documentation, support governance and quality assurance, and contribute to stakeholder communication, training strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will serve as a UKG Pro subject matter expert, ensuring excellence across implementation, optimization, and post-go-live support.

Responsibilities:

  • UKG Pro WFM Solution Leadership: Lead full lifecycle UKG Pro WFM implementations, including discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization. Serve as the WFM solution architect, ensuring configurations align with business strategy, compliance needs, and scalability requirements. Define and enforce implementation standards, governance models, and best practices.
  • Configuration & Functional Expertise: Hands-on configuration expertise across: Timekeeping, Attendance & Leave, Accrual management (complex accrual rules, carryovers, caps, proration), Scheduling & Advanced Scheduling, Shift differentials, premiums, and overtime rules, BIRT reporting. Sound knowledge on Dell Boomi & interface related KPIs. Design and implement: Advanced pay rules, work rules, schedules, and labor categories, Complex workflows, approvals, validations, and exception handling, Union, non-union, and country/region-specific rule sets.
  • Advanced Workforce Management Capabilities: Configure and optimize: Workforce forecasting and demand planning, Labor optimization and compliance tracking, Multi-location and multi-legal-entity workforce models. Advise on best practices for: Workforce productivity, Cost control, Regulatory compliance (pay rules, working hours, leave laws).
  • Integrations & Technical Design: Lead and support UKG Pro integrations with: HR Core, Payroll, Finance and third-party systems. Analyze integration requirements and collaborate with technical teams on: Inbound/outbound data flows, File-based and API-based integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data synchronization and configuration issues.
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Partner with senior business leaders, HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into UKG Pro WFM solutions. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance beyond system configuration. Lead workshops, blueprint sessions, and solution reviews.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical and functional leadership to junior consultants. Review solution designs and configurations to ensure quality and consistency. Mentor team members on advanced UKG Pro WFM concepts and implementation approaches.
  • Training & Enablement: Design and deliver: End-user training, Administrator and super-user training. Develop reusable training materials, user guides, and configuration documentation.
  • Documentation & Support: Create and maintain: Solution design documents, Configuration workbooks, Integration specifications. Lead issue resolution for complex WFM defects and production issues. Support post-implementation optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required: Should have minimum 11-13 years of experience with UKG Pro (or similar workforce management systems).

Preferred: Experience in Kronos Workforce Central to UKG Workforce Dimensions Implementation and Migrations with Dell Boomi expertise. Knowledge of modules like Scheduling, Timekeeping, Analytics, Global Time Off, Accruals, Attestation, Activities, Devices. Experience in configuring Pay rules, Work rules, Labor Level Transfers, Adjustment Rules and Wages, Exceptions, Holiday Profiles, Holiday Credit Rules. Experience in technical development and support of Interfaces with Dell Boomi knowledge.
