Your role
In the role of Quality Engineering Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for web, mobile, and/or console platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, edge cases, and user behavior in the entertainment domain.
• Conduct performance, functional, UI/UX, and regression testing across multiple platforms and devices.
• Analyze test results and work closely with engineering teams to identify and fix defects.
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to evolving QA best practices.
• Work on integration testing with backend systems such as video streaming platforms, content management systems (CMS), or game engines.
• Contribute to release planning and risk analysis activities.
Required
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in QA/testing roles, with at least 2 years as a senior or lead.
• Strong knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, robot framework, etc.).
• Experience in one or more entertainment domains: OTT/video streaming, gaming, AR/VR, interactive content.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of media protocols, codecs, DRM, or game engine testing is a big plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
• Experience testing cross-platform applications (iOS, Android, Smart TVs, consoles).
• Knowledge of audio/video performance metrics (latency, buffering, frame rate).
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Passion for media, games, or entertainment tech.
