Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform static, fatigue and damage tolerance (FDT) stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures using classical hand calculation and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Experience in metallic and composite structure stress analysis.
  • Understanding of load paths and extraction of loads from Finite Element Models (GFEM/DFEM).
  • Determination of critical failure modes and performing analysis to ensure structural integrity.
  • Mitigation techniques for low margins of safety.
  • Preparation of stress dossiers as per certification requirements.
  • Review and validate stress analysis output and stress dossiers to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Drive issue resolution by interfacing with cross-functional teams (Design, manufacturing, quality, configuration management, etc.).
  • Serve as a technical representative for onsite offshore coordination, addressing queries, clarifications, and technical escalations.
  • Familiarity with aerospace stress tools, including ISAMI.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in advanced FEA for model building, updates, and post-processing of complex simulations.
  • Capability to perform parametric studies, method calculation iterations, and process/method improvement proposals.
  • Proficiency in reviewing, creating, and validating certification documents and technical notes.
  • Expertise in stress analysis data preparation, GFEM load extraction, stress model creation, and DFEM creation/modification/analysis.
  • Proficiency with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for structure.
  • Advanced static and non-linear analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of hand calculations and FE analysis.
  • Knowledge of aerospace processes and procedures relating to design (RSDP, SIDP, AP, ABD, AIPI, AIPS, etc.).
  • Understanding of aerospace design principles and airworthiness requirements.
  • Experience of using DocMaster, Airnavx, etc.
  • Aerospace stress signatory experience (Checker/approver).
  • Valid aerospace training certificates in SAP, ISAMI, VPM, and PASS SSI.
  • Bi-lingual (German and English).
