We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to lead the Employee Relations (ER) function for UK & I. The ER Manager will develop a deep understanding of Infosys's business and collaborate with HR teams, Legal functions and business leaders to drive the Employee Relations function/policies/processes and interventions in UK & I.
Responsibilities
- Strategic ER Management: Responsible for ER strategy for UK & I region. Provides specialist advice on employee relations requirements and procedures to business leaders, HR leaders and senior management.
- Establish, sustain and improve ER processes and act as process owner for operational matrices.
- Drives ER processes including separations/terminations, absence management, performance management, workplace grievances, investigations and the creation of required documentation in close coordination with Legal teams.
- Review employee relations practices/policies involving value violations (disciplinary process), grievance redressal process, and performance deficiency process, and suggest changes or improvements.
- Guide and enable business partner HR, business leaders and the manager community on values adherence, proactive measures to prevent value digressions, and procedures for investigations and ensuing actions.
- Provide guidance on employee grievances and performance deficiencies, including processes for performance improvement plans and poor performance exits.
- Drive anti‑sexual harassment initiatives and coordinate internal investigations for incidents.
- Work with Labour authorities and other stakeholders for statutory compliance involving employee relations functions.
- Collaborate with unions (if any) to create a positive work environment aligned with business strategy and needs.
- Support central teams for whistle‑blower investigations as required.
- Conduct trend analysis to forecast and take measures to prevent incidents.
- Undertake management development activities by coaching, influencing, and sharing knowledge to strengthen manager capabilities.
- Stay current on employment law, ER practices and trends.
- Track and interpret trends in employee relations to proactively identify issues and develop training and other interventions and solutions.
- Promote the company's culture and policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years' experience in HR, with at least five years exposure to employee relations functions in the UK.
- The ER Manager should be a subject‑matter expert in employee relations for the UK & I.
- Exposure to ER practices in Continental Europe is an added advantage.
- Strong team player in a fast‑paced, evolving international environment, proactive, assertive, decisive and resilient.
- Key capabilities include the ability to understand the global business context and to make practical, risk‑based decisions that drive business outcomes based on solid employment law knowledge, process improvement mindset, and a deep understanding of HR matters.
- Required skills: strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in conflict resolution, ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment, coaching and influencing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
