This is a full-time, on-site Cloud Engineer role based in Sweden. The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure to support Finacle’s digital banking platforms. Daily responsibilities include:
- Provisioning and configuring cloud resources
- Automating deployments
- Monitoring system performance
- Troubleshooting infrastructure issues
The role involves collaborating with software development, security, and operations teams to optimize application architectures for the cloud, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards. The Cloud Engineer will also contribute to capacity planning, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, including experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Software Development skills, preferably with experience in languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration, including shell scripting, performance tuning, system security, and automation tools.
- Practical knowledge of Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including deployment, backup, performance optimization, and high availability in cloud environments.
- Experience designing and operating containerized and microservices-based architectures using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancing, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and cloud security best practices, including IAM and encryption.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems, analyze logs and metrics, and use monitoring/observability tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Experience in the banking or financial services domain is an advantage but not mandatory.
