I’m looking for a resource able to analyse, understand, and optimise a large, complex SQL Server database
Specifically, I’m looking for someone able to:
Analyse and understand the database structure to determine what is, and is not, in use
Table analysis and optimisation
Query analysis and optimisation
Indexing
Performance improvements, such as data archiving
Preventative improvements, such as managing temp DB
General tuning
Monitoring and alerting
We also have Oracle in our estate, so Oracle knowledge would also be useful but not to the same level.
