About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and technically strong Palantir Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead the full lifecycle of dataâdriven solution developmentâfrom strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to handsâon implementation and scaling. As an FDE, you will work directly with clients and internal teams to understand complex business challenges, architect impactful solutions using Palantir Foundry, and drive adoption across organisations. This role blends engineering, product thinking, and strategic consulting, making it ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of technology and business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Endâtoâend solution ownership: requirement gathering, planning, prototyping, development, deployment, and scaling.
- Stakeholder engagement & planning: collaborate with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to define problem statements, success metrics, and solution roadmaps.
- Data integration & modelling: ingest and transform data from diverse sources (APIs, databases, flat files, streaming systems) into structured formats using Palantir Foundry tools and custom code.
- Ontology & application design: create and manage Ontology Objects, Links, and Actions to support downstream applications and workflows.
- Pipeline development & automation: build scalable, faultâtolerant ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Foundry's proprietary tools like Pipeline Builder and Code Workbook.
- Productization & scaling: turn prototypes into productionâgrade solutions and drive adoption across teams and geographies.
- Governance & compliance: implement data validation, monitoring, and documentation to ensure integrity, traceability, and compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Crossâfunctional collaboration: work with deployment strategists, software engineers, and product designers to shape how data is used across decisionâmaking workflows.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and optionally Java/Scala.
- Handsâon experience with Palantir Foundry tools, including Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Code Workbook, Ontology Management, Contour, Solution Designer, Data Lineage, Data Health, Data Connections, and Egress Policies.
- Experience in endâtoâend solution development, from planning to scaling.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including data lakes, warehousing, schema design, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in fastâpaced, ambiguous environments and learn new tools quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience with Palantir Foundry or similar platforms.
- Domain experience in Oil & Gas, Finance, Healthcare, Logistics, Aerospace or Defence.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
