Digital Innovation and M&A Transformation Consultant – Life Sciences

Are you focused on assessing and executing the impact of acquisitions, divestitures, licensing deals, spin-offs, and portfolio restructuring on business processes, data, applications, AI capabilities, and operating models across Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, and Quality domains?

About your role

Infosys Consulting is seeking talented and highly motivated consultants to join our Life Sciences practice specializing in Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Business Transformation. As a Senior Principal / Associate Partner, you will help pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations assess and manage the impact of acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, spin-offs, and strategic partnerships across business processes, data ecosystems, and enterprise application landscapes. You will work with business and technology leaders across Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Quality, and Commercial organizations to define integration strategies, future-state operating models, and transformation roadmaps that enable rapid value realization while managing regulatory and operational risk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • M&A Assessment and Strategic Planning
    • Assess the impact of acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and business restructurings on operating models, business capabilities, processes, data, and technology landscapes.
    • Conduct due diligence, integration assessments, and separation planning activities across Life Sciences functions.
    • Define Day 1, TSA, Day 100, and target-state integration or separation strategies.
    • Advise executive stakeholders on risks, dependencies, governance models, and value realization opportunities.
  • Business, Data and Technology Transformation
    • Analyze the impact of M&A transactions on clinical, regulatory, safety, quality, and commercial business processes.
    • Assess enterprise application portfolios and identify integration, coexistence, rationalization, or separation requirements.
    • Evaluate data migration, master data management, governance, reporting, and interoperability challenges.
    • Develop future-state architectures supporting business and regulatory objectives.
  • Roadmap Development and Execution
    • Define phased integration and separation roadmaps aligned to business priorities and transaction objectives.
    • Establish approaches for application consolidation, data harmonization, process standardization, and organizational alignment.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex transformation programs and realize transaction synergies.
  • AI and Digital Innovation
    • Assess the impact of M&A activities on AI capabilities, data products, analytics platforms, and digital assets.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI to accelerate integration, improve decision making, and automate business processes.
    • Establish governance and operating models for integrating AI-enabled capabilities in regulated environments.
  • Thought Leadership and Capability Development
    • Develop methodologies, frameworks, and assets supporting Life Sciences M&A transformation.
    • Monitor emerging trends in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, and AI-enabled integration.
    • Mentor consulting teams and contribute to capability development across the Life Sciences practice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates proven success in roles and thorough abilities in most of the following areas:
    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business processes across Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Quality, and/or Commercial functions.
    • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, integrations, and large transformation programs.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, application portfolio assessment, and technology operating models.
    • Experience evaluating business, data, application, and process impacts of organizational change.
    • Understanding of data migration, master data management, governance, interoperability, and reporting architectures.
    • Ability to develop integration, separation, and transformation roadmaps across business and technology domains.
    • Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
    • 12+ years of relevant Life Sciences experience with a minimum of 7 years in a consulting organization.
    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with M&A due diligence, Day 1 planning, TSA management, post-merger integration, and divestiture initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Life Sciences platforms such as Veeva, Medidata, RIMS, CTMS, Safety Systems, ELN, PPM, ERP, and Quality Management solutions.
  • Experience developing target operating models and enterprise architecture strategies.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical data domains including clinical, regulatory, safety, product, and commercial data.
  • Experience applying AI, GenAI, or Agentic AI within Life Sciences organizations.
  • MBA, MSc, PharmD, PhD, TOGAF, or equivalent advanced qualifications.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
