The Engineering department at InfoSum is dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of our organization. As a member of the QA team with responsibility for performance testing, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-value performance assessment tests that will reduce performance risk for InfoSum’s data collaboration platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, backend engineers and infrastructure teams, to identify areas for testing and deliver robust and efficient solutions. This role requires expertise in performance test design, execution and reporting to a team of engineers with whom you will work closely as well as reporting findings to senior management. The focus on performance must be balanced with the needs for cost sensitivity, security and reliability.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, high-value performance tests that support engineering needs.
- Identify and test performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth operation under high loads.
- Maintain security best practices to protect data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop automated testing strategies to monitor performance and system reliability.
- Provide long-term performance analysis records and reports.
- Work with product, backend, frontend and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of automated performance tests.
- Provide performance testing mentorship to the QA team and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Work with the teams to implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively detect and address issues in production.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply best practices to improve system efficiency and maintainability.

Understand and comply with InfoSum’s security and privacy policies, maintaining a strong focus on information security in all backend-related activities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in performance testing, with expertise in relevant tool suites.
- Understanding of distributed data driven systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scalability strategies, microservices architecture, load balancing, caching, batch processing and event-driven architectures, in particular Kafka.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure reliable deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
