As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that drive business success.
Core Responsibilities- Software Development: Design, develop, test and deploy software applications and features using industry best practices and coding standards. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets functional and performance requirements.
- Technical Design: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs and architecture. Participate in architectural discussions, propose solutions, and make recommendations for system improvements.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical problems and propose creative solutions. Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement fixes to ensure the stability and reliability of software applications.
- Quality Assurance: Write automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and security. Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and compliance with requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and system diagrams. Document software components, APIs, and integration points to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure the successful delivery of software projects. Communicate effectively and collaborate proactively to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering. Seek opportunities to learn new skills, improve existing processes, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the engineering team.
Understand and comply with InfoSum’s security and privacy policies, and be attentive to information security at all times in the performance of duties for InfoSum.
Requirements- 4+ years experience with Go; JavaScript experience would be nice to have.
- Familiarity with API design, JSON schemas and Docker.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL) and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
