We're partnering with a leading organisation within the defence and technology sector that is looking to appoint a Network Security Engineer to join its 24/7 Security Operations capability.

This is an opportunity to work within a highly secure environment, defending critical infrastructure and supporting the delivery of advanced security operations across a complex enterprise network.

You'll join a team responsible for monitoring, protecting and improving security systems while investigating threats, responding to incidents and helping strengthen cyber resilience.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing and supporting enterprise firewall environments
  • Investigating security incidents and network anomalies
  • Monitoring security systems across a large-scale infrastructure
  • Performing network traffic analysis and packet investigation
  • Supporting IDS/IPS technologies and secure proxy platforms
  • Maintaining VPN and secure communications technologies
  • Contributing to vulnerability management activities
  • Working within a 24/7 Security Operations environment

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within a SOC, Network Security or Cyber Security function
  • Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and DNS
  • Firewall administration experience across Palo Alto, Cisco or Check Point
  • Understanding of IDS/IPS technologies
  • Experience supporting VPNs, SSL/TLS and MFA solutions
  • Exposure to network monitoring platforms such as PRTG or Nagios
