The Role Location : Bristol (Hybrid 2-3 days per week on site) Salary : £65,000 – £75,000 Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant (SIEM) to join their team. This is a client-facing role focusing on advising, designing, and implementing SIEM solutions tailored to end customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SIEM platforms, threat detection, and cybersecurity best practices. Responsibilities Client Engagement : Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements and recommend tailored SIEM strategies. SIEM Deployment : Lead the design, configuration, and integration of SIEM solutions, ensuring effective threat detection and real-time monitoring. Threat Detection : Develop detection rules, response workflows, and optimize systems to adapt to evolving threats. Compliance Advisory : Ensure SIEM solutions align with frameworks and regulations, including GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001. Optimization : Conduct periodic assessments, provide recommendations, and educate clients on best practices and emerging trends. Key Skills & Experience 3+ years in SIEM consulting, SOC, or security operations roles. Hands-on expertise with SIEM platforms. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and hybrid/cloud environments. Experience in a client-facing or consulting role with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, Splunk Core Certified Power User) are an advantage. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be proactive, solution-oriented, and client-focused, with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong technical foundation.
