We’re working with a high-growth Managed Service Provider, recognised in the Sunday Times Top 100 Fastest-Growing Companies 2025, who are continuing to invest heavily in their cyber security capability. They’re now looking for a Lead Cyber Security Engineer for a 12 month FTC to be embedded on site with one of their key clients within the financial services sector, acting as the senior technical authority for security engineering. This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, client-facing, and trusted to lead.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership and direction across security engineering initiatives
- Acting as the on-site security engineering lead for a key client
- Designing, implementing and improving Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
- Owning cloud security engineering across Azure and AWS environments
- Partnering closely with IT, cloud, DevOps, trading and compliance teams
- Driving wider security initiatives including secure development, AI security and data protection
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in hands-on cyber security engineering
- Strong expertise in IAM and PAM (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Entra ID, Conditional Access)
- Proven cloud security experience, particularly within Microsoft Azure
- Automation or scripting experience using Python and/or PowerShell
- Confident communicator, comfortable operating in a client-facing environment
