We’re supporting a major UK retailer in hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to help strengthen and evolve their enterprise‑scale cloud security posture. This is a key role within a forward‑thinking technology and security function, offering the opportunity to work with modern tooling, wide technical scope, and a collaborative engineering culture.
The Role
You’ll play a central part in securing large‑scale Azure environments, influencing cloud security standards, and ensuring best‑practice adoption across engineering teams. You’ll work closely with InfoSec, Cloud Platform, Architecture, and Engineering squads to deliver secure, scalable and automated solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Securing and improving Azure cloud environments across the organisation
- Implementing and integrating cloud security tooling (CASB, CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP)
- Defining security guardrails, policies, and engineering standards
- Identifying vulnerabilities and guiding remediation with engineering teams
- Automating controls and processes using Terraform and PowerShell
- Supporting Kubernetes, container, and serverless security initiatives
- Acting as a trusted technical partner across multi‑disciplinary teams
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cloud security engineering, ideally within Azure
- Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Security technologies
- Strong experience with Terraform, IaC, and PowerShell scripting
- Understanding of Kubernetes, container and serverless security models
- Ability to communicate complex issues to varied stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
