We are seeking a motivated Security Operations Specialist to join our growing security team and help shape our brand-new strategic hub in Bristol. This is a rare opportunity to be a founding member of a regional team while the office facilities are being finalised.
In this role, you won't just monitor dashboards; you will play a vital part in proactively hunting for threats and evolving our security posture within a complex, high-scale environment.
What You Will Do
- Monitor and Analyse: Use SIEM and EDR tools to identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Lead IR activities, following established procedures for investigation and resolution.
- Proactive Hunting: Initiate threat hunting to identify risks before they escalate.
- Strategic Improvement: Collaborate with the wider security team to tune and optimise tools and processes.
- Trend Research: Stay ahead of the curve by analysing the latest trends in security threats and vulnerabilities.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have at least 3 years of experience in a SOC environment.
- Methodical: You have a strong understanding of security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- Technical: You possess working knowledge of network traffic analysis and endpoint detection.
- Problem Solver: You have excellent analytical and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
