About us At Informed Solutions, we design, build and continually improve digital products and services to make public and private sector organisations work better for the people they serve. Our teams bring together user‑centred design, software engineering, data, AI, and delivery expertise to create services that are effective, inclusive, and innovative.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to be embedded within our product team and help drive the success of our digital product portfolio, including our two flagship InformedDECISION and InformedINSIGHT products, alongside our growing suite of complementary products. As a multi‑Queen’s Award for Innovation‑winning organisation, innovation lies at the heart of everything we do: we are passionate about delivering products that enable our customers to realise the benefits of the latest technologies and innovations, including AI, advanced analytics, and geospatial technologies.

The Senior Product Manager will own product strategy, proposition, priorities, and lifecycle decisions, while partnering closely with Business Development and other client‑facing teams on go‑to‑market planning, market engagement, and commercial execution.

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:

  • Shape the direction and lifecycle for one or more products, balancing market opportunity, client needs, commercial value and delivery feasibility.
  • Translate insights from customers, users, market analysis and product performance into clear product visions, value propositions, roadmaps, backlogs and release plans.
  • Shape investment and prioritisation decisions using data, market insights and sound judgement, ensuring effort is focused on the highest‑value opportunities.
  • Contribute to strong product management practice across the product function, coaching others and contributing to standards, ways of working and community growth.
  • Partner closely with Business Development and other client‑facing teams to support product positioning, go‑to‑market planning, and launch readiness.

What You’ll Do

Strategic & Product Leadership

  • Identify, validate, and prioritise market, client, and user needs through research, engagement, and analysis, translating insight into clear product decisions.
  • Lead product positioning and proposition development for assigned products, and work with senior leadership and commercial colleagues to shape pricing, packaging, and market approach, ensuring these reflect product strategy, customer need, and market opportunity.
  • Develop and maintain compelling product visions and value propositions that clearly articulate the problems we solve, for whom, and the value our products deliver.
  • Shape and manage product roadmaps that focus investment on the highest‑value capabilities, including those that drive adoption, retention, revenue growth, and competitive differentiation.
  • Maintain and prioritise product backlogs with clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring teams are working on the most important problems.
  • Identify and validate market opportunities for new products, features, and propositions, using customer insight, competitor analysis, and commercial evidence to inform product direction.

Product Development, Delivery & Performance

  • Lead product input to go‑to‑market planning for new products, major capabilities, and releases, working with Business Development and client‑facing teams to ensure launch readiness across proposition, messaging, internal enablement, and customer adoption.
  • Translate strategy into actionable plans, helping teams understand priorities, trade‑offs, dependencies, and intended outcomes.
  • Assess emerging technologies and industry developments with relevant colleagues, and incorporate them into product roadmaps where they create clear customer, market, or commercial value.
  • Lead product discovery and validation activity, using research, experimentation and feedback to test assumptions, reduce risk, and identify the highest‑value opportunities.
  • Work closely with engineering and delivery colleagues to ensure product development is realistic, transparent, and outcome focused.
  • Evaluate the market, customer, and commercial impact of product releases and changes, using evidence to refine priorities, improve outcomes, and inform future investment decisions.
  • Define, monitor, and act on product KPIs, using qualitative and quantitative evidence to evaluate success, inform prioritisation, and improve decision‑making.
  • Support the ongoing operation and improvement of products, ensuring feedback, service data, and performance metrics are used to continuously improve user and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to product growth and financial performance by working with leadership, finance, and commercial colleagues to understand revenue, cost, profitability, and the impact of pricing, packaging and investment decisions.

Stakeholder, Market & Commercial Engagement

  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress clearly to a range of audiences, including senior leadership, delivery teams, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, users, internal stakeholders, and partner organisations to ensure product direction is informed, credible, and collaborative.
  • Maintain an evidence‑based understanding of market trends, competitor products, and emerging opportunities or threats.
  • Facilitate effective decision‑making by bringing together insight, evidence and pragmatism to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Work with Business Development and senior stakeholders to shape and deliver go‑to‑market plans for new products, capabilities and releases, ensuring launch activity reflects product strategy, market demand, and commercial opportunity.
  • Work with commercial and client‑facing colleagues to develop clear product positioning, messaging and value narratives that communicate differentiation, support customer engagement and strengthen commercial growth.

Practice, Quality & Capability

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of product management methods, governance, standards, and ways of working, using practical experience and industry awareness to support consistent, high‑quality product outcomes.
  • Support best practice product thinking, user‑centred design, experimentation, prioritisation and evidence‑led decision‑making.
  • Support the growth of Informed’s product management discipline through coaching, knowledge sharing and community activity.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager working with innovative digital or SaaS‑style products, with responsibility for product strategy, roadmap, prioritisation, delivery, and bringing products or major capabilities successfully to market.
