You will need a good base in laboratory skills, but you will be trained in all areas and techniques whilst working on exciting projects.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects within the laboratory.
- Perform lab management duties, including monitoring stock levels, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
- Execute technical procedures within assigned projects, working under supervision.
- Demonstrate flexibility and proactiveness in undertaking business-driven duties as needed.
- Experience working in an ISO15189/ISO13485 regulated industry environment.
- Knowledge and experience in good laboratory practices, safe sample handling, DNA/RNA extraction, real-time qPCR, and PCR.
- Familiarity with NGS applications, including library preparation techniques and target enrichment methods.
- Contribute to writing documentation, such as, but not limited to, COSHH, documents and procedures.
We need you to be proficient in handling molecular biology reagents with good laboratory practices, ideally with experience in genomics or molecular biology. You will have the flexibility to meet the demands of a fast-paced commercial environment, whilst sustaining focus during repetitive tasks, with high attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
