We are seeking a driven and experienced Financial Planner to join our team at IFP. Reporting directly to our Executive Director, your main responsibilities in this role will involve qualifying new leads, providing a holistic financial planning service, and ensuring the client file and associated documents are fully and comprehensively complete. You will work within a team to ensure we deliver the best outcomes for our clients, ensuring work in progress is completed within the specified timescale and is wholly accurate, guaranteeing clients always receive a high standard of advice and care.

As a Financial Planner, you will play a vital role in guiding our clients toward achieving their financial goals. By understanding their unique circumstances and dreams, you will provide independent advice and recommendations to help them achieve their aspirations and financial security.

Throughout the client journey you will communicate with all teams at IFP to work towards excellent outcomes for our clients in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying new leads that are received by the business through various sources.
  • Providing a holistic financial planning service to all clients who fall within our target market.
  • Ensuring that the client file including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and associated documents are fully and comprehensively complete.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff to ensure work in progress is completed within the specified timescales and is wholly accurate.
  • Providing support and training to educate and guide other staff members.
  • Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards.
  • Maintaining your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Delivering an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors.
  • Looking for new business opportunities to enhance your own and IFP’s client base.
  • Adhere to the cross‑cutting rules and act in the spirit of the Consumer Duty to support the achievement of good Client Outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Achieved CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
  • Experience working with clients in a financial planner capacity (essential).
  • Strong verbal communication, written communication, presentation and rapport building skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.
