We are seeking a Planner with Primavera P6 experience to support the delivery of design and as-built works across a range of major infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally. You will work closely with Engineers, Designers, Construction Teams and Information and BIM Managers to produce a programme and manage CPI/SPI for our monthly reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who is maybe in an assistant role looking to move into being ultimately responsible for managing the P6 Programme. Whilst meeting all of the criteria would be amazing, it is understood that some areas may need to be learned.
Frequent interaction with multiple team members, both internal and external is expected. We don’t expect you to sit and wait for answers, you will be integral to finding solutions. You will work closely with our Senior Quantity Surveyor and Senior Project Manager to manage risk, forecast and cost.

Role overview
The Planner supports the development and maintenance of project schedules for complex infrastructure work. Working with planners, project managers, engineers and delivery teams, the role helps track progress, identify changes to the programme and provide reliable scheduling information for project decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Gather progress updates from delivery teams and compare actual performance with planned milestones
- Help identify schedule risks, delays, dependencies and opportunities to improve sequencing
- Prepare programme reports, progress dashboards and lookahead schedules for project stakeholders
- Support change control by recording programme revisions and assessing their potential impact
- Work with project controls colleagues to keep schedule information accurate and consistent with reporting requirements
- Participate in planning meetings and communicate schedule updates clearly to technical and non-technical teams
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting planning or project controls on construction, engineering or infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and scheduling principles
- Ability to interpret project programmes, milestones and activity dependencies
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and confidence working with project data
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience on rail projects or large, complex programmes such as HS2 is desirable
- Management of CPI/SPI - Cost Planned Index / Schedule Planned Index
