Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Build: Create and manage scalable AWS infrastructure following best practices for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Automate & Streamline: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
- Collaborate & Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps solutions into project workflows and troubleshoot AWS environments.
- Secure & Comply: Apply security best practices, conduct audits, and maintain compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
- Monitor & Optimize: Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to enhance availability and proactively optimize cloud environments.
- Innovate & Improve: Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency and drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
You should have proven experience delivering AWS-based DevOps solutions, combining strong technical knowledge with a collaborative and analytical mindset. You’ll bring the confidence to work independently while supporting and guiding others on more complex challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Code Pipeline).
- Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, or similar) and experience with Git.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Understanding of cloud security and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience working in Agile and consulting environments.
Educational Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Maths, IT, statistics or physics related field.
You should be entitled to work in the UK with legal work authorization status. Must be willing to travel within the UK as per project/client requirements. Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills.
