We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain customer relationships, and contribute to Bioprocess International’s growth. The portfolio is entering new markets, including India and Singapore, and we are seeking a dynamic sales professional with a hunter’s mindset to drive our revenue growth and capitalize on emerging opportunities in these regions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities through market analysis, staying up to date with industry news, targeting wallet share documents and competitors online. The perfect candidate will be willing to learn and grow into this role, whilst developing the ability to hone their own sales strategy, generate leads, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
Primary New Business Responsibilities:
- Meeting individual and team revenue targets across a number of BPI key products.
- Generating new business opportunities by actively prospecting and qualifying leads.
- Expanding the sales pipeline within designated areas and letter splits.
- Attracting new customers and venturing into complementary sectors.
- Meeting revenue growth targets specifically for new customers.
Key Activities for New Business Development:
- Prospect the pipeline for lead generation.
- Explore growth opportunities within current accounts.
- Schedule meetings with potential customers through various means (face-to-face, phone, virtual).
- Identify and maximize new revenue opportunities.
- Develop basic business proposals and negotiate terms.
- Achieve revenue targets through proactive response to inbound inquiries and self-generated leads.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify prospects, align products with prospects, and execute plans to ensure a return on investment (ROI) and continued business with Informa beyond the first year.
Required Experience for Success:
- Proven sales experience within SpEx sales or currently a high performing delegate sales professional.
- Demonstrated track record as a top-performing new business hunter in a B2B environment.
- Proven track record in new business development.
- Experience in strategic planning to enhance customer results.
- Proficiency in managing senior level stakeholders.
- Expertise in maximizing revenue and opportunity in delicate sales situations.
- Skilled in using Salesforce for managing customer data and forecasting opportunities.
