We have an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join our Performance Marketing team on a 9 month maternity cover basis.
The Marketing Assistant will work with the internal PPC & Display team to support the delivery of a keyarea within the business (including tactical implementation and delivery). The team focuses on delivering excellence through PPC account optimisation, data analysis and building relationships with our suppliers (e.g. Google) and marketing planners.
Reporting into the Paid Search Marketing Manager you will support with the planning, delivery and reporting of brand-aligned, ROI maximised, effective and efficient Google Ads marketing activity.
The role sits with the Digital Delivery, Societies and Propositions Group and has a global remit, covering all regions.
What you will be doing:
- Build and implement new Google Ads campaigns and accounts according to briefs
- Create new ad copy
- Report on ad copy and landing page A/B testing performance
- Work closely with planners to support their business targets
- Carry out research in-line with marketing briefs
- Report and monitor PPC campaign results and spend against our budget expectations and targets
- Monitor competitor activity and discover new opportunities
- Make recommendations to improve performance and drive further efficiencies
- Identify any performance issues
- Liaise with compliance to ensure our ad copy adheres to platform regulations
- Make relevant and effective keyword and bid changes
This role would suit someone who is passionate about digital marketing and is looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of digital marketing practices, with a particular focus on PPC.
What we are looking for:
- Previous knowledge and experience of Google Ads is desirable
- An interest in PPC and all things performance marketing
- Strong numerical and analytical skills and comfortable working with data, particularly GA4
- Experience using Excel and presenting data
- Great time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- An eagerness to learn and show initiative
Please note you must have the right to live and work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
Location: The successful candidate will be able to utiliseour balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within acommutable distance of either our Blackfriars, London office or our Milton Park, Abingdon (Oxfordshire) officeto ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
