This role is based in our 5 Howick Place office. The Senior Manager of Product Management team will collaborate with commercial leaders to shape product offerings for our exhibitors and sponsors tools including the exhibitor portal and other sponsor and exhibitor planning tools. Through these products, the Senior Manager will ensure a high-quality, streamlined customer experience which enables our customers to exhibit at and sponsor our events while minimizing their effort and maximizing their return on their time and money.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape our exhibitor and sponsor tools across all of Informa, ensuring our exhibitors and sponsors are delighted and satisfied with our events and eager to return to them the next year.
- Collaborate with commercial leads to craft the product vision and strategy for ways we can make it easier for exhibitors to book their booths, prepare to exhibit at the show, identify potential leads/customers before and during the event and market themselves and their products within their industry.
- Work with the Product Design team to explore product ideas and concepts so they can be prioritized and designed to align with that vision and strategy.
- Develop a deep understanding of our existing internal applications, third-party applications, internal data and integrations. Synthesize that understanding with knowledge of customer needs and market opportunities to create technology solutions to solve user needs.
- Gather and define requirements for the prioritized product ideas to create and maintain the product backlog.
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering, and other product leaders to create unified single-product and multi-product roadmaps, allowing for dependency management and individualized roadmap views by business units.
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering and solution architecture to design, build and launch software efficiently and effectively, with an eye to optimizing our cross-functional ways of working.
- Manage a high-performing, collaborative team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers.
- Communicate clearly and crisply with leadership stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams and organizations through formal operational processes and informal communication.
- Establish success metrics for user engagement and product performance to demonstrate the value to our customers and internal stakeholders.
- Use metrics and user feedback to guide product continuous improvement.
- Balance customer needs with resource constraints and roadmap timelines.
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial, innovative and customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in event technology product management and/or complex, integrated digital products, with a focus on data integration and customer experience.
- Product Management experience, with progressively senior roles and strong experience with partner/vendor implementation models.
- Experience managing product managers.
- Experience working in the agile scrum delivery methodology.
- An outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches.
- Experience driving decisions using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Adaptable, agile and speedy, with a willingness to take calculated risks, mitigate those risks, and learn from the outcome.
- High EQ and social awareness when working both internally and externally.
- Ability to translate and communicate data into concise, insightful, and actionable recommendations.
