This role is based in our Manchester office. As our Senior Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Assisting ASM's global consultant network with data and analysis needs, ensuring best practices and usable outputs.
- Developing working relationships with ASM clients, providing an additional contact point alongside the lead consultant.
- Initiating new analytics techniques, platform usage, and exploring new data sources to enhance existing products and develop new ones.
- Conducting detailed market research and analysis, including demographic and industry statistics, to identify target markets and airline opportunities.
- Creating businessâcase presentations for target airlines, incorporating comprehensive data and analytics to support client objectives.
- Performing marketâshare, stimulation, competitor, catchment and other metrics to inform client strategies.
- Operating, improving, and maintaining ASM's forecasting models, consolidating and interpreting data across platforms.
- Supporting longâterm trafficâforecasting projects, providing input for shortâterm airline strategies and longâterm market analysis.
- Leading and participating in customerâinsight calls with airlines to understand market opinions and development strategies.
- Providing market insights to sister businesses such as Routes, CAPA and Aviation Week Network.
- Contributing to speaker and content delivery at industry conferences and forums.
- Helping produce commercial bid documents, RFP responses and engaging in business retention and newâbusiness activities.
- Overseeing the creation and delivery of relevant training content.
- Managing direct reports and project teams for client services and newâproduct development.
- Being proficient in thirdâparty data tools (e.g. Sabre Market Intelligence, OAG) and recommending new tools to add value to ASM.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Proven application of professional knowledge within airport, airline or consultancy environments.
- Inâdepth knowledge of the aviation industry, including new airâservice development and the importance of dataâdriven business cases for airline decisions.
- Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, eagerness to learn new skills and explore international markets.
- Confidence handling large data sets, proficiency in advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with Power BI and other data manipulation and presentation tools.
- Strong analytical, problemâsolving, planning and creative skills, with the ability to present and visualise data effectively to teams or clients.
- Skilled in quantitative and statistical research and analysis methods for commercial challenges.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Open to domestic and international travel as required.
- Experienced in working within a budget.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in problemâsolving.
- Possession of a relevant bachelor's degree.
