Job Description: As the Senior Pricing Manager – Academic you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and optimising pricing strategies across the Academic and Corporate divisions. Your responsibilities will include managing pricing strategies for subscription journals, transformative agreements, and eBooks. This position demands a strategic thinker with expertise in value-based pricing, future-oriented business models, and a strong bias towards automation and AI-driven approaches.
This is a dynamic and proactive role that requires energy, drive, and a commitment to fostering a culture of accelerated delivery. You will be instrumental in driving cross-functional alignment and delivering impactful results, utilising influence rather than direct authority to make a meaningful contribution to organisational growth. You will work closely with the Global Director of Pricing to achieve a wide range of organisational objectives. This role is open to UK-based candidates and requires attendance at our Milton Park office three days per week.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Pricing Strategy Development: Lead Strategic Pricing Engagements, Own and Deliver Implementation, Lead and Communicate Change, Define and Track Key Metrics, Team Management, Risk Mitigation, Strategic Alignment.
- Workflow Automation: Ownership of AI-Driven Pricing Models, Automation Leadership.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Relationship Building, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Facilitation, Executive Communication.
Qualifications
- Skills: Pricing Expertise, Strategic Leadership, Analytical Mastery, AI and Automation First, Exceptional Communication, Global Mindset.
- Experience: Experience of leading the development and implementation of new pricing strategies in the data information services industry, demonstrable strategic pricing background either via a niche strategy consultancy or in-house Strategic Pricing Team, proven experience in the definition and automation of pricing performance metrics and competitive benchmarking, demonstrated success in executing global initiatives across multiple countries and regions.
Additional Information: Please note you must have the right to live and work in the UK for this role. Location: We believe that great things happen when people connect face-to-face. That's why we work in-person with each other, or with customers and partners, three days a week or more. The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our office in Milton Park to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
