Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager for Customer Value and Product Development at Taylor & Francis, you'll partner with key stakeholders to identify, shape, and deliver valuable product opportunities across the full customer journey. Operating with significant autonomy, you'll work closely with UX Design, UX Research, and Data & Intelligence to drive new value into the market. You're a product purist who lives modern principles, stays ahead of technology shifts, and thrives in managing the tension between innovation and execution. Reporting to the Head of Product, this is a high-performing Individual Contributor role where product mastery and expertise drive transformational impact.

  • Opportunity Discovery & Problem Definition
    • Identify and define new product opportunities grounded in deep, direct customer insight.
    • Synthesise signals from qualitative research, behavioural data, market trends, and commercial intelligence.
    • Define problems worth solving with precision and rigour.
    • Proactively challenge the boundaries of the existing product experience.
  • Product Creation & Validation
    • Manage the success of several products inside our domain model across sections of the customer journey.
    • Lead the design and validation of new product concepts.
    • Build lightweight, testable solutions that generate real learning quickly.
    • Own the commercial framing of new initiatives.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment across Design, Data, Engineering, and Commercial.
  • Customer & Market Intelligence
    • Maintain an active and ongoing relationship with customers.
    • Develop a nuanced understanding of T&F's competitive landscape.
    • Bring the outside in sharing market intelligence, customer stories, and emerging trends.
  • Commercial Impact & Senior Influence
    • Own the outcome, not just the output, defining and tracking the metrics that demonstrate real customer and commercial value.
    • Make investment cases for new initiatives.
    • Influence and manage product direction beyond your immediate area.
