As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Informa TechTarget, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by sourcing meetings that lead to content marketing programs in partnership with some of the world’s largest brands. You’ll be the front line, introducing our content strategy and development expertise to both existing clients and new prospects. Your focus will be on generating opportunities and building a strong pipeline for the TechTarget Account Executives through various channels such as phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, source, and secure leads to build a robust pipeline for Account Directors.
- Make outbound sales calls within an assigned territory to generate qualified leads and set sales appointments.
- Leverage email and social media tools for inbound prospect development, engaging target prospects and presenting high-level value propositions.
- Participate actively in weekly meetings to recognize achievements, exchange insights, and collaborate with the team to overcome challenges.
- Manage and update prospecting status and activities via CRM (Salesforce.com).
- Develop a deep understanding of how content marketing programs unlock value for TechTarget’s customers by seeking out innovative approaches and best practices.
- Work closely with Account Executives to align on opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales processes and strategies.
A self-starter who embraces a growth mindset, proactively taking initiative, seeking continuous improvement, and viewing challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth. Strong ability to generate leads, build relationships, and set meetings through proactive outreach. Comfortable making outbound sales calls, and skilled at engaging prospects via email and LinkedIn. Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce.com or similar) and sales prospecting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner. Ability to meet and exceed monthly pipeline goals while maintaining a strong sense of accountability and teamwork. A passion for learning and developing expertise in content marketing and sales strategies. Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
