Inform3 are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to manage a large project in the education sector The purpose of the role is to manage all commercial and financial aspects of assigned projects and contracts to ensure completion is on time, within budget and to legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations.
To be considered for this you will have attained an appropriate degree around the Quantity Surveying field or be able to demonstrate at least 3 years equivalent experience gained within the construction industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with all commercial aspects of allocated projects
- Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports / Project cost control
- Preparation and submission of interim valuations
- Manage and value variations
- Attend meetings for the agreement of final accounts
- Post contract liaison with clients
- Joint responsibility of managing contract costs including payments to sub-contractors
- Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports
- Assist with the management of contractual documentation
What you need:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline
- 3+ years of experience with building contractor
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Organisational skills are crucial
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proficient with IT software and packages.
