Company: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established engineering/manufacturing business in Co.
Derry/Londonderry.
The role will be responsible for managing quality assurance activities across projects, from design and incoming materials through to fabrication, assembly and final close-out.
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, production teams and suppliers to ensure quality standards are maintained, while driving continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the business.
Duties
Include: Develop and manage project-specific ITPs, inspections and quality workflows using Procore.
Review client specifications and ensure quality requirements are incorporated into project programmes.
Manage incoming goods inspections, material certification and supplier NCRs.
Conduct in-process inspections and maintain quality gate checkpoints throughout production.
Develop and improve ITP templates, digital inspection forms, checklists and testing records.
Produce quality reports and dashboards covering inspections, NCRs and corrective actions.
Analyse quality trends and drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support internal and external audits including ISO 9001 surveillance and water authority inspections.
Support the development of integrated quality processes linking Procore with ERP systems, document control and product serialisation initiatives.
Essential
Criteria: HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in a Quality Engineering/QA role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
Experience with inspections, NCR management and root cause analysis.
Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
