Inform3 are recruiting for a SHEQ Manager to join a large & busy civils contractor working on power and energy projects in Dublin.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Site Contract Manager and site managers to manage and monitor health and safety, environmental standards, and quality assurance throughout the construction projects.

SHEQ Manager Job Requirements:

  • Support Site Management in ensuring adherence to workplace safety laws and internal safety procedures.
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor compliance on-site, performing audits and inspections to verify safety standards are met and properly documented.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of task-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Identify potential safety issues and collaborate with Site Management to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety documentation and records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal safety audits, regulatory bodies, and third-party inspections.
  • Monitor and report workplace incidents, hazards, and compliance indicators; assist with investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety updates and performance metrics during Site Management Meetings.
  • Assist in organizing staff safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety briefings.
  • Support the coordination and execution of scheduled fire drills, environmental exercises, and emergency rescue simulations.
  • Champion behavioural safety initiatives and contribute to safety workshops and continuous improvement programs.
  • Lead health and safety coaching and foster engagement across the site team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of company safety systems and procedures, ensuring alignment with SHEQ Management System standards, including ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015.

SHEQ Manager Job Specification:

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrable relevant experience in a similar Site-Based SHEQ Manager role for Civil engineering or construction projects, preferable within Ireland.
  • NEBOSH OHAS Diploma or Certification, held for3 yrs +.
  • Awareness of Lifting Operations and Temp Works Awareness
  • Strong IT skills and experience in use of Construction Digital online tools and Microsoft packages Word & Excel.
  • Clean Driving licence
