Manage one or more construction sites (or part of larger site) safely and efficiently.
Plan, coordinate and supervise site activities from mobilisation through to completion.
Ensure works run to programme and coordinate with subcontractors & supply chain.
Chair progress meetings and produce site reports (weekly / monthly).
Maintain accurate records, including labour, plant and materials diaries.
Ensure site compliance with Health & Safety regulations, CDM requirements, and company SHEQ policies.
Implement and enforce risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.
Manage site logistics including access, storage, traffic and waste.
Communicate programme risk and commercial information to senior team.
Record variations and potential contractual implications.
Manage subcontractor performance in line with contract order documents.
Chair subcontractor meetings, prepare minutes and distribute.
Maintain clear communication with Project Manager and client representatives.
Provide progress updates and identify issues early.
Job Specification:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years’ experience, preferably on rail projects
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage people, programmes, and resources effectively.
- Competent in project reporting and site documentation
- Ability to adapt to new circumstances
- Full driving licence & willingness to travel
