INFORM3 are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join for our client company based in North Co. Derry / Londonderry. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual wishing to progress in their career within an ambitious, growing enterprise.

Duties Include
- To develop and maintain mechanical and electrical design drawings using CAD Software packages.
- Create detailed drawings and BOMs for production & logistics.
- Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions.
- Design and implement process improvements for existing automation equipment.
- Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
- Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
- Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies
- Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
- To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
- Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
Essential Criteria
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience working within a Design role.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise.
- Working with design packages, CAD, ProE, etc
- Previous SAP experience.
- Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Requirement to both works on-site and to travel for business.
- Full clean driving license.
