About the Company
An established and well-respected Fit Out contractor is currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their ever-expanding team in their office in Belfast.
You will be responsible for the Health and Safety alongside the HSEQ team, ensuring compliance with the safe systems and relevant legislation, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors always.
This is a great opportunity to promote a more influential and safer environment across the organisation and to make sure policies and procedures are implemented throughout the site. Travel will be required once or twice a month to client sites as well.
The Role
- Carrying out inspections and manage and carry out a Proactive Compliance Monitoring Programme to ensure all legislations are adequate and of a high standard.
- Oversee development of policies/programs and to monitor and maintain effective up to date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly.
- Investigate and manage reports and file them accordingly through the reporting system such as accidents and incidents.
- Deal with any health & safety issues that may arise in an efficient and effective way with a professional attitude.
- Ensure that everything recorded is private & confidential ensuring that the rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensuring that on-the-job training records is kept up to date.
- To provide any advice to other staff/team members on relevant information when it may be required.
- Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients
- Maintain PPE Stocks, ensuring staff are well equipped for site work.
- Maintenance of records on Health, Safety and Environmental issues according to regulation requirements.
Requirements
- Ideally have 5 yearsβ experience within the Construction sector.
- Knowledge and understanding in a Health & Safety Management Role.
- Experience in Manufacturing sector desirable.
- Experience working within a HSEQ, Quality, Environmental systems.
- Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication skills.
- NEBOSH or Level 6 Diploma or Certification.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Full Driving Licence and access to own transport.
- Ability to work on your own and within team environment.
