Working from technical drawings and the company’s quality standards, you’ll assemble, wire and construct control panels. As you progress, there will also be opportunities to work off-site, supporting the business owner with panel installations. What you’ll be doing * Building and wiring electrical control panels from technical drawings * Assembling components including PLCs, relays, contactors, terminal blocks and VFDs * Crimping, terminating and soldering * Using hand and power tools * Testing panels and fault-finding What you’ll need * A practical, hands-on approach and enjoyment of manual work * An interest in electrics * A love of problem solving * A Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (2365) or other electrical qualifications would be beneficial, but they aren’t essential.
